While walking with a group of youth artists in the Crenshaw neighborhood during a workshop for a Metro project, we explored the unique aesthetics of the neighborhood around Leimert Park. On the boulevard, we encountered an old weathered piano sitting outside of a beauty salon! We were all amazed by its presence and its untold story, and why this community would treasure an object that is so weathered and worn.
